This is something I have been infusing myself with, as many artists
do, to attempt engaging art production in my daily life despite the
medium. It is not necessarily stressing
completion of work, but at least involvement. The book cascades
across topics including materials, composition, and proportion.
Two chapters that
were most personally beneficial grace upon the subjects of value and
color mixing. Being primarily a graphite, charcoal, ink and
scratchboard artist, these are categories that prove very helpful for
my mind to grasp when conquering fresh areas like acrylics, oils and
watercolor pencils. Marine cautions on common mistakes such as misunderstanding, therefore visually misinterpreting shapes, edges,
and shadows in your model or reference. Another highlight is Marine's
informative litany of art materials both for the studio as well as
for traveling. She also reassures the painter how to fight artist's
block and remaining disciplined with commitment. Tips are provided
regarding showcasing and selling your work online together with
networking amongst other art communities. Comprised of
fabulous instruction for example, an ellipses method, the rule of
thirds and some minor photography techniques, Daily Painting proves to be a quick go-to manual in your time of inquiry and

frame, along with Liz Wiltzen's "Passing Through Queens".
